These Booking Terms & Cancellation Policy apply to all bookings made with Last Minute Man and Van ("we", "us", or "our"). By making a booking or completing payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms.

1. Booking confirmation

A booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed. Upon confirmation, you will receive a booking reference and confirmation by email or other electronic means.

You are responsible for ensuring that all booking details provided, including addresses, dates, times, access restrictions, and load descriptions, are accurate at the time of booking.

2. Scope of service

Our services include moving, delivery, and related assistance as described at the time of booking. Services are provided based on the information supplied by you.

Additional charges may apply if the actual job differs materially from the booked details, including but not limited to additional items, access difficulties, stairs, long carries, waiting time, or changes to locations.

3. Driver allocation

Drivers are allocated based on availability, location, and suitability. While we aim to allocate drivers promptly, allocation may occur closer to the booking date for short-notice or same-day bookings.

4. Cancellations by you

If you need to cancel a booking, you must notify us as soon as possible. Cancellation fees may apply depending on the notice given.

  • More than 48 hours before the booking: Full refund, minus any non-recoverable processing fees.
  • 24–48 hours before the booking: Partial refund may apply.
  • Less than 24 hours before the booking or same-day: No refund is normally available.

These charges reflect driver scheduling, preparation, and lost availability.

5. Cancellations or delays on the day

If you are not present, cannot provide access, or are otherwise unable to proceed at the agreed time, the booking may be treated as a late cancellation and charged in full.

6. Changes to bookings

Requests to change booking details are subject to availability and may result in a price adjustment. We cannot guarantee changes for same-day or last-minute bookings.

7. Payment and authorisation

All payments are processed securely via third-party payment providers. By making payment, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method and that the transaction is legitimate.

8. Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and may take several working days to appear, depending on your card issuer or bank.

9. Liability

Our liability is limited to the services booked and provided. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including traffic, weather, accidents, or access restrictions.

10. Complaints and disputes

If you have a complaint, please contact us as soon as possible so we can attempt to resolve the issue promptly and fairly.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.


SERVICE TERMS – VAN HIRE & MAN-AND-VAN By placing a booking, you confirm that you have read and agreed to the following terms. 1. PACKING & HANDLING All items must be packed, sealed, and ready for transport before the driver arrives, unless a packing service has been agreed in advance. Items packed or loaded by the customer are transported entirely at the customer’s risk. Flat-pack furniture must be dismantled prior to arrival. Pre-existing damage is not covered. 2. INSURANCE Drivers carry Goods-in-Transit insurance appropriate to their vehicle. Insurance applies only to items professionally handled by the driver. Customer-packed items, flat-pack furniture, fragile items not adequately protected, and pre-damaged goods are excluded from cover. 3. PARKING, PERMITS & ACCESS The customer is responsible for arranging legal parking, permits, loading bays, and safe access at both pickup and drop-off locations. This includes red routes, restricted roads, building access, concierge approval, and lift bookings. Delays caused by access issues may result in waiting time charges. 4. DELAYS & WAITING TIME Delays caused by incomplete packing, waiting for keys, lift access, traffic restrictions, or changes made on arrival may result in additional charges. Any applicable charges will be explained before work continues. 5. ADDITIONAL STOPS & CHANGES All pickup and drop-off locations must be declared at the time of booking. Additional stops affect time, mileage, and cost. Same-day changes may not be possible and may result in a revised price. 6. PAYMENTS Payment must be made securely online. A deposit or full payment may be required before the move begins. Work cannot commence until payment has been confirmed. Delays caused by payment issues may affect availability. 7. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS Bookings may be changed or cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Same-day cancellations may incur a charge due to reserved time and resources. Refunds are issued to the original payment method only. 8. PROHIBITED ITEMS We do not transport hazardous materials, flammable substances, gas canisters, live animals, illegal items, or unsecured perishable goods. 9. SERVICE AVAILABILITY In rare cases of delay or vehicle issues, we will contact you promptly and offer a replacement, reschedule, or refund where appropriate. You will not be charged for delays caused solely by us.
